History: Generally a pacifist, Dhalsim fights to raise money for his village in Kerala, India, but realizes that it might contradict his pacifist beliefs. Having discovered this, Dhalsim left his village for a short time to journey around India in an attempt to "find himself" once more. While on his journey Dhaslim came across a group of soilders destroying a village in a search for their head guru, much like Dhalsim was. Giving up his pacifist nature once more, Dhalsim fought off the men and discovered that they sent by an M. Bison to find the guru and learn the secret of "Psycho Power."
Having discovered his disturbance in his plans, Bison sends a then mind controlled Cammy to assassinate Dhalsim. In the process, Dhalsim used his spiritual powers to make her self aware, no longer the "soulless doll" she once was. Returning to his village after his journey of self-enlightenment, Dhalsim found his home racked with death from a plague that was sweeping through the land. Stricken with grief he took all the children that had died and used their skulls for a necklace he wears at all times. However he eventually come to terms with the fact that there was nothing that he could have done to help and leaves the village once more.
Dhalsim has the power to suspend himself in midair, stretch his extremities in ways beyond the average human, read minds, and sense evil, the latter abilities he uses to locate the sinister M. Bison, and doing his part to aid those who can destroy the villain.
Notes:
RP Sample: The spiritual leader known as Dhalsim hummed a light, low pitch as he concentrated on his objective. As per usual in his meditations, his lengthy legs were crossed under him and his hands formed a symbolic gesture over his chest as he began to slow his breath. It wasn't long before his weight seem to defy the known laws of physics as it slowly, yet surly began to levitate off of the pillow it rested on. This was a pivotal point in his rituals as he felt the chakras in his body begin to release their energies.
His very aura could now be seen if anyone would care to look, but none of this bothered Dhalsim. For his eyes clouded to an even shade of white that seemed to eliminate his pupils completely. His humming lowered a pitch and a great puff of steam blew from his nose as he came to the point of his "enlightenment."
Unfortunately, meditation was a hard thing to accomplish at Mystic's headquarters as someone knocked on the door. Dhalsim's trance wasn't easily broken, but eventually he lowered himself back onto the floor and released all of his built up energy in an elongated exhale that was full of smoke.
'Perhaps, a little bit of privacy would be welcome change around here...' Dhalsim joked in his head as he went to answer the door.
